MADE51 x Chloé
Chloé partnered with MADE51 to bring the craftsmanship of Afghan refugee women into their iconic accessories, including the Marcie and Woodie handbags. This collaboration reflects Chloé’s commitment to ethical craftsmanship and aligns with their values as a certified B Corporation.
- 11,822 handmade pieces produced
- 707 refugee artisans in Pakistan and 20 artisans in Afghanistan trained and engaged
- 100% of artisans reported improving their embroidery skills as a result of the collab
- 85% used their earnings to pay for medical expenses, while 92% invested in education for their children
MADE51 x UNIQLO
As part of its commitment to social impact and responsible sourcing, UNIQLO collaborates with MADE51 to create limited-edition products and components, including keychains and bracelets, handcrafted by refugee artisans in Kenya and South Sudan.
The impact of one UNIQLO order is:
- 21,350 handmade items produced and sold through UNIQLO physical and online shops
- 185 artisans working on this order earned income that met Fair Trade standards, with 85% being the sole or primary income providers for their families
- 100% of participating artisans reported pride in their work, and 92% used their earnings to support their children’s education
